Professionals across healthcare and caregiving fields are invited to attend the upcoming Riverwinds Breakfast & Continuing Education Seminar on June 10, featuring an insightful discussion on end-of-life care led by experienced death doula Jill McClennen.
Held at Riverwinds Restaurant (1075 Riverwinds Dr, West Deptford, NJ 08086), the seminar will begin with check-in and breakfast at 8:30 AM, followed by Continuing Education programming from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
This engaging and educational event, titled “Exploration of Burial and Funeral Alternatives & A Dignified End: A Discussion with a Death Doula,” offers attendees the opportunity to deepen their understanding of compassionate, non-medical end-of-life support and emerging alternatives in burial and funeral planning.

Jill McClennen, a professional death doula and end-of-life coach, brings nearly two decades of experience to the discussion. Her work began in 2006 while caring for her grandmother and has since evolved into a practice dedicated to guiding individuals and families through the emotional, practical, and spiritual aspects of life’s final stages. McClennen provides both in-person and virtual support and resides in Camden County, New Jersey with her husband and two children.
The seminar is approved for two Continuing Education Credits and is designed for professionals including:

Social workers
Nursing home administrators
Assisted living administrators
Case managers
Patient advocates
Participants will gain valuable insights into dignified end-of-life care, communication strategies, and alternative approaches to funeral planning that reflect personal values and preferences.
