NJHealth Proudly Supports Veterans at the 2nd Annual CVAC Health and Benefits Fair

The NJHealth team was honored to participate in the 2nd Annual CVAC Veterans Health and Benefits Fair held on September 23 at the Wildwoods Convention Center. The event brought together veterans, service organizations, healthcare providers, and community partners from across South Jersey for a day dedicated to connecting those who served our nation with valuable resources and support services.
As a General Sponsor, NJHealth was proud to stand alongside other businesses and organizations committed to serving the veteran community. More than 80 vendors participated in this year's event, creating a one-stop destination where hundreds of veterans and their families could learn about healthcare options, benefits programs, community services, and support resources available to them.

Throughout the day, members of the NJHealth team had the opportunity to meet with veterans, caregivers, and family members, sharing information about hospice and palliative care services, veteran-specific programs, and the compassionate support available through NJHealth. The event also provided an opportunity to listen to veterans' stories, answer questions, and connect individuals with resources that can enhance their quality of life. Our own Jim Bartleson, director of specialty programs, served on an expert panel where he shared valuable information about healthcare options specific to hospice care.

Supporting veterans has long been an important part of NJHealth's mission. Through specialized programs like our Five-Star Veteran Care Program supporting end of life needs of veterans, community outreach, and partnerships with organizations that serve former military members, NJHealth remains committed to honoring those who have served and ensuring they receive the care, respect, and recognition they deserve.

"The CVAC Health and Benefits Fair is an outstanding example of what can happen when community organizations come together with a shared purpose," said CVAC Member Margie Barham, director of public relations and special projects for NJHealth. "We were proud to support this event and grateful for the opportunity to meet so many veterans and connect them with services and resources that can make a meaningful difference in their lives."
NJHealth extends its sincere appreciation to the Citizens/Veterans Advisory Committee
(CVAC), event organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and participating vendors whose efforts helped make the fair a tremendous success. The strong turnout reflected the ongoing need for accessible information, healthcare resources, and community support for our veteran population.

For NJHealth, participating in events like the CVAC Health and Benefits Fair is more than community outreach. It is an opportunity to give back to the men and women who have sacrificed so much in service to our country. We are grateful to have been part of this important event and look forward to continuing our support of veterans throughout South Jersey.
Thank you to all veterans for your service, sacrifice, and commitment to our nation. It was our privilege to spend the day with you.
