Our medical directors play a vital role in shaping the care experience for patients and families. They ensure every individual entering hospice and pallative care meets medical criteria, then work closely with the interdisciplinary team of nursing, aides, social workers, spiritual and bereavement support, volunteers and various therapeutic services to build care plans centered on comfort, symptom relief, and personal wishes. Their clinical oversight guides decisions on pain management, medications, and interventions for complex symptoms—helping patients feel supported, safe, and heard.
