Help Us Name Our Musical Heroes!

1 min read

Our music therapists, Karen Melita and Tim Bretscheider, have helped ease pain, calm anxiety, and lift the spirits of hundreds of hospice patients over the years. The music they make feels almost magical—because music truly can be medicine. But Karen and Tim don’t create these meaningful moments alone. Their guitars are important members of the NJHealth team, too, and it’s time they received the recognition they deserve --names of their very own!

That’s where you come in! B.B. King had Lucille, Willie Nelson’s Martin N‑20 nylon‑string acoustic guitar was named Trigger, Eddie Van Halen had Frankenstrat, and Eric Clapton’s custom Fender Stratocaster was named Blackie.  We can’t let our beauties who have given so much go un-named.  Send us your best name ideas for Karen’s and Tim’s guitars. The names can be cute, meaningful, musical, or inspired by the special work these two instruments help make possible. You can suggest individual names or a perfect pair. Winners will receive $50 Wawa Gift Cards.

Click Name the Guitars Contest to participate and let your creativity take center stage. We can’t wait to hear your ideas!  Get them in by November 23rd.
