NJHealth Hospice and Palliative Care is proud to celebrate six years of serving patients and families with compassion, clinical excellence, and steady support when it matters most. This anniversary is more than a milestone for the organization—it reflects the trust families place in NJHealth every day as the team helps patients navigate serious illness with dignity, comfort, and personalized care.

NJHealth’s story began in the throes of the COVID-19 pandemic, at a time when health care organizations everywhere were facing unprecedented challenges. Launching a hospice and palliative care company during such an uncertain period required resilience, flexibility, and a deep commitment to the community. Despite staffing pressures, shifting safety protocols, and the emotional toll families were experiencing, NJHealth remained focused on its mission: bringing comfort, dignity, and compassionate support to those who needed it most.

Over the past six years, the NJHealth Hospice and

Palliative Care team has supported countless individuals and loved ones throughout the community, providing not only expert medical care but also emotional guidance, education, comfort, and reassurance. From nurses and social workers to chaplains, aides, volunteers, admissions specialists, and program coordinators, every member of the NJHealth team plays an important role in helping families feel supported and never alone.

The NJHealth team family of staff and volunteers recently gathered to celebrate the company’s sixth

anniversary at a party hosted by founder and CEO Suzanne Martinelli at The Savoy in Vineland on June 18. Attendees enjoyed a casino-themed celebration complete with games, prize drawing, delicious dinner, a special anniversary drink, April the Hair Fairy, a magic show, and “Elvis” entertain the team.

“This milestone belongs to every member of our NJHealth family,” said Suzanne Martinelli, founder and CEO of NJHealth Hospice and Palliative Care. “Our team shows up each day with compassion and their commitment to caring for patients, families, and our community is what makes NJHealth so special.”

During the celebration, staff members Megan Wilent, admissions manager, Janice McMahon, patient care support, and program coordinators Giselle Moreno and Sara Offenbacker received this year’s Champion of the Year. Their recognition reflects the dedication, teamwork, and service-minded spirit that define NJHealth’s approach to care.

As NJHealth looks ahead, the mission remains clear: to provide compassionate hospice and palliative care that honors each person’s needs, supports families through every step, and strengthens the community through service, presence, and heart.
