Celebrating Blackboard Masterpieces

At NJHealth Hospice and Palliative Care, we are fortunate to work alongside talented professionals who bring compassion, creativity, and heart to everything they do. One of those special people is Joanne Anthony, RN, clinical consultant, whose artistic talent has quietly transformed a simple blackboard in our Landis Avenue office in Vineland into a much-anticipated source of inspiration and joy.

Several times a year, Joanne picks up her chalk and creates a new seasonal masterpiece on the conference room blackboard. Each design reflects the spirit of the season while adding warmth, color, and personality to our workplace. From cheerful spring scenes to festive holiday creations, her artwork has become a beloved tradition among staff.

This fall, Joanne's latest creation invites us all to "Fall in Love with NJHealth." Bursting with autumn colors, seasonal charm, and artistic detail, the display beautifully captures the warmth and caring spirit that define our organization. It is impossible to walk into the conference room without pausing to admire the creativity and thoughtfulness that went into every stroke.

While Joanne's artwork is typically enjoyed only by those who work in our Vineland office, we wanted to take this opportunity to share her talent with a wider audience. Too often these wonderful creations are seen by only a handful of people before the next season arrives and a new masterpiece takes its place. We think that's a shame because Joanne's work deserves recognition.

Art has a unique way of brightening a day, sparking a smile, and creating a sense of connection. In a profession devoted to caring for others, those small moments matter. Joanne's seasonal displays serve as gentle reminders to pause, appreciate beauty, and celebrate the changing seasons together.
