This week, NJHealth proudly honored its remarkable team of hospice volunteers with special appreciation luncheons in celebration of National Volunteer Week. The gatherings served as a heartfelt tribute to individuals whose generosity, compassion, and dedication make a profound difference in the lives of our patients and their families every single day.

Hospice volunteers are at the heart of NJHealth’s mission. They give selflessly of their time and talents, offering comfort, companionship, and support during some of life’s most meaningful and challenging moments. Whether sitting quietly with a patient, providing respite for caregivers, lending a listening ear, or assisting with special projects, these volunteers bring warmth and humanity that cannot be measured.

The luncheons were a small but sincere way to recognize the incredible impact our volunteers have across our hospice community. Filled with gratitude and appreciation, the events provided an opportunity to say “thank you” to those who consistently go above and beyond to ensure that every day truly counts for the people we serve.
